Giannoulakis is an engineer, composer, sound designer and instrumentalist based in Athens, Greece. He studied Electronic and Biomedical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens, took an MA in Digital Music Technology at the University of Keele with Mike Vaughan and Rajmil Fishman and a Ph.D. in Electroacoustic Composition at the University of Wales Bangor with Andrew Lewis. Composition with recorded sound, free improvisation, collaborations with other musicians and visual artists. Music and sound design for installations, dance, theater. Performing on electric guitar, percussion, didjeridoo, trumpet, synthesizers and self-made instruments in acousmatic-funk-samba-reggae-dub-noise-fusion projects.
